Analog Youth was recorded in four days, live, with almost no overdubs. "We wanted it to sound like a room, not a laptop," says guitarist Ivy Marchetti.
That approach shows on "Rust & Chrome," a track that barely holds together — in the best way. "We kept the take where the amp almost cuts out," Marchetti laughs. "It sounded more honest than the clean version."
The duo is currently finishing a follow-up EP, due later this year.
